thats because the 3.4L uses a diffrent PCM then the 3.8L, OBD I VS. OBD II.

and the TSP tune is only for the 3.8L also.

These JET SCU 2000's (Speed Control Units) interact with the vehicle speed sensor to allow you to change your transmission shift points and speedometer calibration. They are required if you change tire sizes or rear-axle gear ratios. Plus, they'll eliminate the top speed limiter. Installation is easy--the SCU plugs into your transmission and is adjusted with the turn of a switch.

Notes: Fits 4L60E and 4L80E transmissions only. Eliminates top end speed limiter.

this is quoted from summit's description of the jet scu 2000. from the looks of things, as Nikos95 stated, apparently the limiter is somehow controlled by the transmission. for those of you with a 3.4(including myself), this may be something to look into.

no boost controler can boost lower then the gate spring

Well I had an idea that the actual limiter is built into the speed sensor. So I plan on attempting to pull the power to my speed sensor and racing down the freeway with my little brothers 93 grand am 3.3L, his isn't governed and we have had it up to around 120mph, and I'm governed at 108 so we will find out if that works, I'll let you guys know the results.
