• So what do you guys think of these scans?

This one is a "drag run" up the rpms, at WOT...

    http://amoxsoft.com/mike/new2/view.p...MustangEater82

I am getting some knock at some parts... Its pretty minor but its still knock.

I just put in a fresh set of autolite 605s, and I was running on a complete tank of 93 octane.

PS the fluctuating RPMS is a slipping clutch

This one is some knock I get occasionally before warmup, not sure what causes it but here it is...

    http://amoxsoft.com/mike/new2/view.p...n=Display+Scan

That one is not the worst, at worst I only got like 6* of knock before its not uncommon for me to have gotten like 15 degrees.

Only looked at the first one, but it looks good....only 1 little spot of kr and LTFTs are pretty good. O2s are a little low, but you know I don't like tuning by those.

do you have a different thermo? Your coolant temps are pretty high unless you have a 195 in there yet. They are like all over 200*

        stock thermo stock coolant.

They get down to about 193ish and stay there but I was hotlapping the car(back and forth on the road testing the clutch and logging) Its also pretty hot out.

I get the little bit of knock when its cooler as well.

As for the o2s reading low, are they reading leanish, or do you think they might be getting tired.

wouldn't surprise me they do have 52k on them. Was actually going to look into what they shoudl be at.

I think it looks pretty good except for the O2's. I think thats where your getting your Kr from. Other than that looks good. Your knock before warm up is probably because your running in open loop. I always let it warm up a bit before I hammer on it. Are you still running the stock settings?

Stock haven't loaded a tune yet.

Only downloaded the bin and been working with it. Might complicate looking for gremlins later.

Er, wait. You're getting KR on a stock tune with 93 octane?

Eric, did't you just tell me you never get KR even on 87?

Man, I'm not trying to be a smart*** but this is exactly the opposite from what you said in the octane thread. You're telling me something is wrong with my car because I could hear knock on 87?

I would have posted this question in that thread too with a link to this one, but it was locked.

How many scans do I have to post of less then 1* of knock for you to believe me?

It was believed to be portions of torque management mght have caused, since at the time I was still running full engine torque management.

actually nevermind, I give up, run 110 octane... your car will run great and you will be teh winna!

Jeez the flack you get trying to help a guy from wasting money...

I'll take money I don't waste on my car and use it for good, like buy it mods to run faster.

My point exactly. On a stock tune car you are getting a small amount of knock even with 93. So that 1 degree of knock on 93 would not have been worse on 87?

I'm not trying to start an arguement. I'm trying to prove my point. It would be interesting to see a scan of a similar run under the same conditions only with 87 in the tank and see if there is a lot more KR. I think there would be.

nice 1/4 mile time.. was that done on 87 octane?

There might be a couple things wrong with my car.. I am buying a HP Tuner so I will soon know why my car runs better on 93 then 87

How many scans on 87 octane do you want with no knock?

and how long, I got dozens of scans with 87. The point of running the higher octane is to see if you are getting REAL knock or false knock. if I am running 93 and getting knock its possible its false knock.

Yes you ae trying to argue but its cool run 93 octane... enough people buy 93 octane, may drive the price of 87 down.

I pretty much always run 87 octane when I run at the track I occasionally put 93 "in case" to make sure I didn't get any knock.

never noticed any changes in gas on my runs, have hundreds and hundreds of runs...
