• What you guys think about these fan settings?

Hey guys lets start up some basic tuning basics… Help me with my numbers tell me what you think, all I did was base mine off of Arthansen’s tune(playing around in an area with no internet) I assumed he had a 180* thermo so by that I just added 10* to is tune numbers. Feel free to add what you want and comments or suggestion or even tips for a 160* stat(which I plan to go to eventually)

195*(stock)
I set mine at
Fan Stage 1
On 204* F
Off 195* F

Fan Stage 2
On 214* F
Off 205* F

180*(arthansen’s tune)
Fan Stage 1
On 194* F
Off 185* F

Fan Stage 2
On 204* F
Off 195* F

160* (Just some guestimates, by droping the temp only 15*)
Fan Stage 1
On 179* F
Off 170* F

Fan Stage 2
On 189* F
Off 180* F

My fan settings are just about the same as Art's with my 180° stat.

Your stage 1 (195° stat) might be set a little low. Really depends on what temp your car runs. With a 195° stat, it'll probably run at 200° or so. I would probably have the 1st fan at 205-210/200. 2nd stage 215-220/205-210.

I think the 160* thermo stage 1 might be to low. I have mine set a little higher because I don't want my fans running all the time.

Out of all 3 of those, the 160° is the setting farthest from the thermo. Unless it runs even warmer than 10° over the thermo?

</font>
I set it that way because I figure their should be a curve for the cooler thermo.

guess best way to do it is go download it in and test it out

my stage 1

on 185 off at 180

stage 2

on 195 off 185

I figured any lower the fans would be on constantly which I didn't want.

Make it simple. Here is what Hypertech (makers of the low temp thermostates) says to do.

This is what I followed.

Cool stuff... (I know I am looking a bit into it, but spent 5 hours in the hospital with no internet, so I just sat and played, with bins I had downloaded)
