    I recently bought HP tuners and have been working on my timing table. Ive added lots of WOT timing and am hitting 35 degrees at the top of the gear with no KR. Its seems to be pulling very hard.

    Does anyone have any experience with running this much timing and if it is beneficial?

    I am going to the track on friday and might make a few timing tables to try out. I ussually trap high 92s. I hit 94.00 once with a nice tailwind. Hopefully the timing will help my trap. [img]smile.gif[/img]

    i ran 15.67..then added 3* to the high/low octane tables..ran 15.67 :(

      i think little g is running ~22-25* at wot...looks like he's had his best times at around that...i seriously doubt you need that much timing at wot.

          Is this timing from the scanner or editor. In the scanner, I seem to always run like 5 degrees more than the editor says. With a completly stock table, I ussually run 28 degrees with the scanner.

              Well, im going to Island on friday, I am going to try it out and see what happens. Soon I will have to take it all away. I know the turbo wont like that much timing. I just want to see how close I can get to 13s NA. I know I can get a harder launch as well.

              Foff, do you know what is adding the timing. The only tables I see that add timing are IAT and ECT. Maybe they are missing a table cause they should not be adding anything under the conditions I ran in.

                  About the only way to figure out how much timing to add is to dyno or track the car and adjust and see what gives you the best results.

                    Well, I went to the track last friday. The weather was good. The track was horrible. :mad:

                    My best run was a 14.49 @ 91 w/ 1.99 60'. That run I was pushing 33 degrees of timing. After that I ran 35 degrees and hit the same trap, but the track got so bad I could not hook at all. Later on in the night I put in a stock timing table which runs around 28 degrees of max timing in my truck. I only hit a 90 trap.

                    I am very fed up with my engine right now. My headers leak bad and no matter what I do, my o2 levels will not drop below 960s, maybe my 02 sensors are dead. I am done racing for awhile, until I get my turbo setup done, which will hopefully be done by the end of the summer. :D
