How to reprogram key?

I need to swap my PCM out on my 96 firebird 3.8 auto i see from the sticky that i should be able to swap one in without reprogramming unless shift points are different. I am wondering those since i beleive the key has an imobiliser chip in it how do i program my key to the new PCM?

You need a new key if replacing the BCM, if replacing the PCM you don't need anything if it has the same tranny and rear programed into it.
