  • 97 Pcm

    So i got a 97 PCM Automatic at a junk yard for dirt cheap like $50 (Not bad i think) and i was wondering would my engine run right if i installed it not to just get it out of the was for things to do. Just wondering

    You would need to tune it.

      If you have an auto in the 96, it will be "plug and play" for now as the gears will be the same and the speedometer will be correct. But, then you can finally tune your engine!

          You can go ahead and install it, but you'll want to have a case relearn done. It relearns the variation between the crank and cam sensor.

            Would there be a point in installing it though..? lol I don't think it will be adding anything.
            Wait, Is that a V6 or V8?
            1990 Chevrolet C-K 1500 series 4.3L .. 5spd
            1994 JDM Euno Roadster 1.8L 5spd Bolt Ons.. etc
            2000 Camaro 3.8L Auto Bolt Ons..etc

              No , probabaly not unless your going to throw a tune on it.

                  96 PCM are NOT supported by HP Tuners or any other tuning software. You MUST install a 97 to be able to tune your engine.

                      i already knew that lol thats why i bought it lol Getting my 96 intake and throttle body tomaro and going to do the PVC mod and polish them up will post pics later. (BTW getting TB and intake for $30 :))
