    Re: headlights

Check the plug on the passenger side one for corrosion. Also, did you accidentally turn the aiming screw by any chance?

      Re: headlights

If it's really dull, like half the brightness, make sure you have a good ground. I once had a problem where all four of the headlights would come on at half brightness. Really weird. Turned out to be a bad ground... a bad connection where the driver side headlight plugged into the main wiring harness. I clipped that wire (on the headlight side of the plug) and ran it to ground. haven't had a problem since.

By aiming screw do you mean the way the bulb goes in and is positioned? I know that the casing from the cable to the bulb has to be rotated a certain way to lock into place. I checked this and both cables into the headlight and high beams are firmly in place. All the plugs are still in good shape, no corrosion.

This is what I was going to suggest; how did you change them? When I yanked out the stock bulbs in the closed housing and siliconed in new ones my driver's side is abit dimmer, but the housing is also alot older.

            Re: headlights

I am talking about the screw at the top of the "housing". You remove two of them to get the bulb out, and there is a third at the top in the middle I believe that lets you aim them up or down.

Right 98 camaro. And no both head lights are still relatively new, and both were purchased at the same time. Could it be fuse related?

I can try that but all bulbs are new.

                    Re: headlights

I'd go with the ground idea. If the sockets are old and mishapened, they will keep it from getting a good ground, or, it may be the wiring.

switch the bulbs, if the one side is still dull, you know where your problem is

                        Re: headlights

                        hi everyone.

                        update on the headlight issue

I found some new bulbs that i bought a while ago as a spare and just swapped them into see and the result is still the same.

However i think my passenger side headlight(which is the side with the dull light) seems to be a little bit lower than the driver side. I wasn't sure though it felt like it was just me. I will post a picture later.

also another question, is there a place that sells weatherstripping for camaros?

I need to replace alot of mine, but mainly I need some for the headlights.

                        thanks
