  • Back speaker size?

Ok I have a 95 camaro with stock speakers in the back. I want some new ones to go with the pioneers up fron. What size are the speakers in the back. I know they are not 6x9. They are the round ones.

6 1/2" for the doors and the rear speakers that are next to the back seats.

Lol I know thanks. I figured that when my non GM compatable 6.5's didnt fit. They made them 6.75.

do you have any pics of the slight fabrication? i'm putting 6.5" Image Dynamics Coax's in my car pretty soon and I don't want to mount them like i had the duals in the back (just on a square piece of plywood:) )

no pics, but i basicallyi cut a piece of metal 7x7 and cut the 6.5" hole in it. then drilled holes in the 4 corners of the metal to mount it to the car. then just drilled the woofer in. i munted the tweeter in the stock panel flush. so i can never take them out b/c there will ba a hole. only bad part about this setup is the drivers side panel sometimes gets loose. i have to screw a couple of the screws tight every once and a while. im thinkg about oputting a layer of dynamat betweent the two pieces so i wont have to do this again. but im lazy. so we shall see.

My 6.5" speakers went in without a problem, i dont know what all you guys are having problems with, with 1/4" difference.

                    & Pioneer used to sell oversized 6.5" ( 6.3/4 ) aftermarket.
