  • Monsoon stereo

Hi I have a 94 trans am and I am putting in the monsoon stereo system. There is only one problem though. I don't have the harness necessary to connect the amplifier to the cd player. Does anyone know where i could get that. GM quoted me a price of 400 dollars, because I would need to buy the whole gauge cluster harness. They won't sell it seperatly so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

To be perfectly honest, it will not be worth the trouble. I'm not sure if that will deter you or not, but that's how it is. If you wish to proceed take the monsoon amp in to a local car stereo dealership. There is a plug for that harness. If I remember right, it is used for some crazy like subaru or other type of car. It's just a regular harness for like 15 bucks but the pins will be all wrong and you'll need two of them because not all the pins are used. You'll have to find a pin out of the harness for the monsoon so you'll know what each wire is. You're really WAY better off just ditching the POS Monsoon and getting a real head unit and a set of real speakers.

    Good luck in either venture.
