    Harder to spin than say...the stock alternator?

    No, it shouldn't be. Spinning force has nothing to do with output.

      well i figured they would be geared lower i dunno..

        actually a high output alternator does take more to spin. Quit a bit more depending on the quality of the alternator.

          Why, it isn't geared differently, it just has more internal stuff.
