• Looking to build my own box, need help.

I have Lightning Audio 12's and amp sitting in my garage because it won't fit. I know its not as easy as, building something that fits and putting the sub in.

They are like 3 years old Bolt series, with only a 150 watt amp. I was thinking about just using 1 sub and put the whole 150 watts to it. And almost build the box like a Bazooka bass tube only square, so I will still have some storage room back there.

I'm just looking to do something cheap for now just to get a little more bass, and I'm tired of my subs being useless.

Actually... yeah. It almost is. A sealed box is extremely forgiving in just about every way. Make a box that's roughly 1 cuft and make sure it's sealed very well. Run a bead of liquid nails (or similar) across the the joints to seal. That's about it.

I have mine on the back shelf [my windows are tinted]. If you want me to measure the dimensions, let me know.

I would like to do that, but I havent gotten my windows tinted yet. I want to but it's hard to spend $150+ on that when it could buy other stuff.

^^^ Sounds like me, everytime I have the money for something I have wanted, I end up buying something else.

Although, I think tint is a good investment.

It really is, seeing as I have to park just off the street most of the time. When I got prices for it a while ago I was like...wow ok then, because of our huge rear window it costs more to get done. Everytime a holiday or my birthday rolls around I say thats what I want as a presentm then someone just gives me the money to get it done and I spend it on something else.

The main problem I have is the tint laws here. The side windows are all but illegal you can on have the top 4 inches tinted, even though the cops normally don't care I'm afriad of running into the one who has a bug up his butt.

I will get it done soon though, its a good security "mod" plus one of the best apperance things you can do.
