  • Head Unit in a 94

Will a new aftermarket headunit just plug right in with a wiring harness to the 10 speaker Delco system in a 94 Firebird? I know I tried the one from my 2000, but it didn't work, I believe cause of the Monsoon. Even though it's the same speaker configuration, I think they must be different, cause the subs wouldn't work and the others sounded like they were gonna blow from distortion. I want to replace the tape deck in my 94 Formula, and was hoping that the cd player from my 2000 would work, but sadly it doesn't. I want to keep the stock speakers, minus the subs, but have a cd player and the ability to add an amp and subs for as little initial investment as possible. I'm gonna get some good subs and amp that I would keep for when I go full out on the stereo, and either a really cheap head unit or a really good one, with full system upgrade of course kept in mind. I want a good building block for now, without having to ditch anything I purchase when I decide to upgrade. Any info would be appreciated.
