QUIK HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

I have 95 firebird v6 with 10 speakers system. i was told that i have to get a adapter (around $100) to make the new HU (JVC SH 707) work. Then i was not sure if i have the BOSE/MONSOON system, cos on the CD player only has DELCO on it... then i went to Circuit City and there was a guy took the factory HU out and telling me that i don't need any special adapter... I WAS SO CONFUSED..
IS there anyone can help???? PLEASE, THANKS!!!
BYPASS and ADAPTOR ARE 2 differnet things right?? Which one is better? the BYpass harness cause problems right????
