• single 12" sealed box?

Been searching web everywhere. I need a sealed box for a single 12", around 1 cf, that fits on the ledge behind the back seat but not in the trunk. Anybody know where I can get one and not have to build it myself?

Haven't seen another one yet. I built my own. Let me know if you want any dimensions or tips. I'm not an expert by any means, but mine looks and sounds good.

I'll assume that your rear window is tinted pretty dark, because this location is rather obvious to onlookers [thieves] without tint. I like having the sub up there, as I still have use of all of the trunk space.

Go to a local install shop or even Best Buy. I'm sure they have the pre-built 10for$1 boxes. I have a local shop with random prefabs to the ceiling!

I got my uncle to throw me a box together that fits on ledge. Its just to get me by untill i get subthump box. Its got a air leak in it too. I need to recaulk it. It works well with my 15' L7 tho.

Well I went to a place near me where they do all kinds of custom installs. They said the location behind the back seats is bad because nothing can be bolted there. Turns out it's where the gas tank is. THey said it's gonna be around $200 for a 1 cub ft. box, carpeted, with a matching amp rack. What u think?

For less than $50.00 you could build your own box. $200.00 for a small box like that is nuts. Heck if you didn't live so far away from me I'd build you one.

($20.00 4'x8'-sheet of 3/4" MDF)= Lowes/Home Depot
($3.00 box of screws)= Lowes/Home Depot
($2.00 tube of culk)= Lowes/Home Depot
($9.00 3M Spray Adheisive)= Lowes/Home Depot ($10.00 Carpet)= Autozone/Walmart/Ebay

nda is right. That is just crazy. I'd build it myself with a hand saw if I had to.

Just bought one for my '99 Firebird. Believe it or not, WALMART!. They have the ones that you put together yourself, and it's slightly at an angle and fits perfectly just under the window. Hope you can find it where you live, they quit selling them at mine, I bought the last one! ;)
