    hey,
i blew out my stock 6.5's so i picked up a set of clarion SRS1624, they seem pretty good and i got them for cheap......ok i know about the OHMs for the monsoon system and i have shoved the speakers in the holes anyways...will they be ok until i get my complete new system it sould be a month or so, and is there anyway to do anything to the amp to make it run 4 ohms?

    thanks

well that back 2 speakers are 4 ohm....the front 2 I replaced as well....with 4 ohm speakers....what you haev to do is this thing that brings 4 ohms down to 2 ohms, I forget the proper name, but you can buy em at radio shack for like 2$...it works, not as good, but it works

Last night, I finaly got around to yanking out my stock amp. I had been running new (4 ohm) door speakers, and hatch speakers.

Well, I cut out the stock amp, and now am running the doors and the hatch off of the head unit. The Sail pannel subs are now not running at all.

Let me tell you, I wish I had done this a LONG time ago. The diff is amazing. Before this, I couldn't really get it loud enough to hear with the windows open, without the speakers buzzing and getting all crappy sounding. Now, I can turn them up nice and loud, and it sounds crystal clear.

You might want to try that.
