dont think that has anything to do with wiring, you might have just blown the display in the head unit. I had that problem in a VCR a while back and ended up just buying a new one..

My Kenwood seems to display fine on startup if the car has been sitting for some time and about 15 minutes after driving the buttons (not the display) start blinking....at first slowly...then faster until they finally turn off. The display is still on and I have checked all my connections twice...what could it be?

Phone your GM dealer and tell him what your vin # is, there is a code that was installed with the radio and he will have to reset it. You will also be able to tell them what code to use and if/when this recourrs, you won't have to go in but just enter the code.

Do you have another f-body friend in your area that would let you borrow his stock deck for a couple of minutes? The swap would take a second or two in order to verify that the cause is in the deck or in the wiring up to the deck.

well, i checked the back and i didnt see a fuse (i saw a black hexagonal thing) and the wires were all snug, so i think i blew the bulb. ill call the dealer soon anyway, in case thats the fix. oh well. ill just live with it until i get my pioneer deh-p77dh.
