Let me get this straight i ran my power wire into the engine bay, i tried connecting it directly to the battery but it wouldnt work, then i noticed a thing on the other side of the engine bay(drivers side) that said auxiliary positive, should i connect it there???

You can use these and just connect it to the side post termails on the battery. But battery termails always look better. www.darvex.com and www.knukonceptz.com have some great prices.

Just go to your local stereo shop and tell them you need a side post battery terminal adapter. Should be $5 max. If they don't have one, don't shop there.
Don't use the AUX power supply. That's meant as a place for you to hook up a positive cable when getting a jump or jumping someone else. It's not meant as an audio amplifier power supply point. It's a bad idea to use that because this point makes the power have to go even further than it would if it was connected to the battery and the power cable might not be enough to handle the amperage that your amp is going to want.
