Adding a sub

I want to add a sub to the exisitng 200-watt monsoon system. Is this possible because I've heard the Monsoon is anal about adding components other than it's own.

Also if I cannot add them, then should I just buy a new head unit so I can get MP3 support and then use the existing speakers with a new sub?

I am also have the same set up u hav. U hav to get a PAC OEM-1 package for a camaro and u can hook up an amp w/ subs to our sys and they will work fine im going to start building my sys very soon and i searched on how to so this here is the website:

Yeah pretty much. The monsoon system is only anal if you try to replace the stock 2 ohm speaker with aftermarket 4 ohm ones....
