A friend of mine has a pair of 6x9 MB Quart dicus series and they sound really good. I was wondering, has anyone heard the reference series or above for 6.5's? Im getting some components and they are high on my list of potentials.....

i currently have the premium components in the front and the 6x9 in the back. these are by far the best speakers i have owned. you would not believe how good they sound when amplified. i am gonna be upgrading to the q series pretty soon to see how good those are. i have never heard anyone talk bad about the any of the mb quart line of speakers2000 Firebird
old setup - Automatic Whisper lid, Borla catback, shift kit w/ V8 servo, 3.42 gears w/ LSD, PI 3000 converter,

14.703@90.92, 2.01 60\' (intake and exhaust)

new setup swapped over to LS1 413.9rwhp/398.7rwtq
www.thunderracing.com

I listened to some componet MB Quart in a store, better bass then Apine type R's, but worse treble, and Infinty Kappa 3 ways blew them both away and was $100 cheaper.New Car: 2004 GTP Comp G (Test Vehicle) 13.936@99.32
Mods: Cylinder Filter,No Mufflers, 3.3\"
Old Car: 2000 Formula 13.124 @ 106.01 with 2.73\'s
Other Car: 1993 Firebird 16.1@83

Mr. Man, I disagree. MB Quarts are incredible. Hand crafted German engineering and $150 will get you an amazing set of components. The tweeters are EXTREMELY bright and crisp, it's great for Rock in my opinion. If you like a warmer tone, go with Infinity. I'm actually looking at a pair of Infinity myself (http://www.camarov6.com/ubb/ultimate...;f=12;t=002403)
If you are looking for bass, then I wouldn't go with MB Quart, they are for people who desire clarity over SPL.
