I know you'll set me strait. I am still trying to find a decient replacement for the 6.5" subs in my car. I havent been able to find didly squat the last few days. I have the 10 speaker system but its not the monsoon so I don't need a high RMS rated sub. I would like to get them off ebay if possible to keep the price down, that said a componet setup with the amps and such are out of the question. just looking for a strait up replacement/upgrade.

So why not just a normal 6.5'' speaker? The stereo won't let it play the higher notes but, that will not hurt it. This will be your cheapest way and you are going to have the most choices. 6.5'' subs are rare but, they are out their. If you are dead set on a "sub" I will see what I can find. Let me know.

well i'm not that choosy. I assumed that if it was a sub it had to stay a sub. well if not what would you recomend?

Any 6.5'' will work, just find something you like, that has good ratings and specs and get them. Go to sounddomain.com and compare some speakers then, look on ebay for them.

well here are the subs and amp I bought last night. I screwed up the power cabel for my other amp so I will be without my 12's for a while so I just got a small amp to help the 6.5's out. still intrested in the 8" idea you were talking about james. anyone else heard of enlarging the rear hole to fit an 8" sub?
