I have two 12" Pioneer TS-W34C's in my car and they sound fine, but the amp I'm using is a little small. Here are some specs on the subs:

Power Handling 500W (Peak), 150W (RMS)
Frequency Response 20Hz-4,000Hz
Impedance 4 ohm
Peak Power Handling 500 Watts
Sensitivity 91dB

I'm looking for an amp that will push them pretty good. I'm not looking to spend too much... not over $200. Thanks.

Not so fast killer. That amp does 150WRMSx2 into a 2 ohm load. His subs are 4 ohms. It's also only stable to 4 ohms when bridged, so no matter how you cut it.... that amp is not gonna work. :( May I suggest the CL600M?

But that amp is 1 channel, and it'll give the sub 300 watts RMS, not 150. Or am I just retarded and didn't read it right?

I'm looking for a 2 channel amp that will give each sub 150 watts RMS at 4 ohms.

CL600M  , It will work and yes its a 1 channel, you just wire both +'s together and both -'s together then run them into the amp. I think that amp puts out 410x1@2 ohms.

Good lord guys. We're recommending Profile amps these days? Profile makes some of the least reliable amps that I've ever seen. I've installed three CL600-equivalent amps over the years. The luckiest one lasted 13 months. They all failed from thermal strain. J_downey, if you post over on LSS, I'd be happy to help.

The CL600 is rated at 150Wx2 at 4 Ohms, and 225Wx2 at 2 Ohms. But if Profile's power ratings are anything like their thermal handling capabilities or build quality, I'd guess that those numbers are about as accurate as darts on a windy day.

Ive installed a few profile amps, and their still working. I think their a good bang for the buck amp.

If profile is the leave reliable amps you have seen, then i guess youve never seen Pyramid,Boss,Legacy...

The only reason I posted this here was because nobody was online at LSS at the time. Just posted it though. :D

If you check out Circuit City you can find some very good deals on amps at the open box section. My amp (MTX Thunder 801d) was worth about $450 at the time I bought it open box for $200. It looks pretty similar to what specs you were looking for. Its a mono amp and it has plenty of power for my dual voice coil alpine sub, and I've heard it can easily power 2 or 3 sub speakers no problem if wired correctly. Aside from that, its worth a shot...they might have a good deal on exactly what you're looking for.

Here's the specs on mine:
Signal-to-noise ratio 100 dB
Input channel qty 2
Output channel qty 2
Amplifier Output Details 250 Watt 4 Ohm 1.0% 12.5V DC 1, 500 Watt 2 Ohm 1.0% 12.5V DC 1, 400 Watt 4 Ohm 14.4V DC 1, 800 Watt 2 Ohm 14.4V DC 1
Controls Gain
Low Pass Frequencies 40 - 200 Hz
Crossover Slope 24 dB/octave
Amplifier:Max Output Power / Channel Qty 400 Watts x 1
Continuous Power / Channel Qty 250 Watts x 1
Bass Boost Frequency 40 Hz
Bass Boost Gain 0 to +18dB
High Level Inputs Yes
Input Signal Voltage 0.1 - 8V

I got a buddy who bought a Profile off Crutchfield. He just needed an amp. Just to hold him over until he finished the rest of his setup. Now that little guy has been going strong for over a year now.....and my friend is still saving $$$. :D
On another note, I haven't benched any of their amps. But the CL600M is fused with dual 25amp fuses. Makes me think rated power is just about right..... you can pick one up new off Ebay for $89.... what more can you really ask of an $89 amp?

I suppose you could buy two of them and just replace it when it fails, and you'll still come out ahead, right?

Everybody wins.
