  • Adding Cruise Control

My Camaro did not come with cruise. I would really like to add it (I do
quite a bit of highway driving.) Anyone know what is involved with adding it on?
(what parts I need, pcm reprogrammed, etc?)
I would like it to look stock, if possible.

    Thanks.

Get a brick. That's about the only way you're gonna make it work.

Needless to say, that's not quite the answer I was looking for.

It would be too hard to do for what it is worth, taping into the pcm harness, adding the box and running the cables.

That would cover the switch... You'd still need a cruise module and some wiring work to get it to function. I don't have my haynes handy or else I'd see if I could post a schematic to work off.

Here's what Autozone has. Hope this helps (the schematic says 1999):

Sure beats the old days when you had to glue magnets to your driveshaft. Anyone remember that?

Actually, that diagram doesn't seem like it would be too hard.

you'd also need a new turn signal lever, right?

                        ScottS4050,

How did this work out for you? I'd like to do the same thing on my 99 camaro. Do you happen to know of any guides or reference material I could use for research?
