Hey All,
I've been having issues since my fuel pump was replaced. My fuel gage does one of two things: Reads completely full or reads completely empty. This happens regardless of the level of fuel, or if fuel is added or taken away. When I start my car the guage will start off reading either completely empty or completely full, and then randomly change and read the exact opposite (i.e. it starts reading completely full (even with little to no fuel) and then reads completely empty. I've tested time and time again and adding fuel or removing it has no effect on the gage. The only SES code i am getting is P0453 which has to do with the fuel tank pressure sensor. When I first replaced the pump everything was working perfectly and I was getting accurate readings about the level of fuel in my tank, but now (only 6 months later) I'm having this issue.
Has anyone had this issue? Any ideas? Could repacing that fuel tank sensor fix this? I've checked the wiring and everything seems to be in order.
Any input would be helpful,
Thanks
