i have been noticing that whenever i shift from any gear into neutral my headlights dim and so does my instrument cluster. i have also noticed that whenever i drive my car at night i can see my headlights flickering a little bit. i have no idea what it can be ? does anyone know?
replace your belt, i have the same problem in another car, the belt slips and is causing the alternator to get crazy voltage drops.
when i turn the ac on, it causes the belt NOT to slip (weird, i know) and the lights dont dim at all, once i turn the ac off they start dimming.. it could be a test for you to try.
Anywhere you see a wire bolted down to metal grab the wire close to the bolt and see if it wiggles back and forth under the bolt. If it does, tighten the nut or bolt. You could even go as far as to removing the bolts and lightly sand around the bolt holes to ensure that it is contacting clean metal.
