    Ok Im getting ready to "drop" in a 2000 T/A rear into my 94 bird and I want to check everything over like the bearings. First how do i get the axle's out once the caliper is off the brake? Second I found about 1/8"-1/4" play in the pinion input. It dose not wobble just has some room to slide in and out. Is this normal or do i need to add shims to the outside to prevent this?

    not sure what you mean by the second part...but in order to take the acxles out, you need to unbolt the cover, Unbolt the C-clamps, take out a bolt in the posi unit, take 2 C-clips out, then you should be able to just pull the axle out by grasping the wheel hub part (area that your studs come through) and pull...

      ok the drive shaft input yolk is what i ment. it can be moved in ant out somewhere around 1/4 of an inch. is that normal? thanks for the explanation though
