Re: few question about rear ends
I believe someone dynoed it on here to be about 18-20 rwhp difference between the 2 piece steel and the aluminum one....
you need the zexel differential...now would be a good time to do gears if you want them...gasket and fluids for the rear end...

Re: few question about rear ends
you dont want to be changing the gears yourself...take it to a shop...if there is only one thing you ever take your car to the shop for, this is it...the lash that needs to be set on the gears has to be within a thousandth of an inch...if its not your gears will fail and you will have wasted your money...
A shop can and will do it for you for about 200$...plus they'll warranty if something goes bad....

Re: few question about rear ends
no speed shops in your area? I'm sure if you made a post in the regional section someone would know of a shop in texas that can help you out...

Re: few question about rear ends
best thing to do is swap a rear end out of a v8 car. They can be found for ~$300 and depending on the factory options are usually a direct swap. You get lsd and in most cases a higher gear ratio
