  • Which shifter???

    Which shifter should i choose? B&M ripper shifter $179.95, Hurst Billet plus $189.75, or Pro 5,0 $179.99? Is any one of these better than the other?
    1997 Chevrolet Camaro
    L26, Pacesetter headers, SLP cai, Centerforce DF clutch, Pro 5.0 shifter, UMI short stick, 1le driveline, J&M 35mm front swaybar, UMI lca's/phb/sfc's, KYB AGX shocks, Hotchkis stb.

    they are are perfectly fine shifters, but i have a thing for the pro 5.0. I think it is just built a little better

    Abbott long tubes,homemade true duals,slp ram air,whisper lid,eibach springs,kyb shocks,BMR subframe connectors, BMR LCA reloc brackets,BMR LCAs. T-top/manual converted

      i can vouch for the quality and durability of the b&m ripper. got mine in early 2004 and still going strong with no complaints.

        I like my Hurst/billet plus.

        You can't go wrong with any of them basically.

          I just put on a B&M ripper today, and I love it. Really, its your choice. I agree with Meatyshells that the pro 5.0 is the best one overall.

            got my hurst off ebay for like $140... works awesome once setup right.
            1999 v6 Camaro M5

              Can't vouch for the others but I love my B&M Ripper
              Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..

                your preference is really all that matters, either way, you're looking at a great upgrade over stock.

                  drove a hurst - not a fan

                        either hurst or Pro 5.0 for me. the main reason being that you cant swap the stick out on the b&m or proform. I personally have the hurst and love it.

                            How do you adjust the stops on the Hurst billet plus to make sure you don't over shift???

                              Here is the hurst with lous short stick chopped another 1.5 inches.
