  • Slave cyl replacment question

I am trying to remove my slave cylinder and the line is stopping me . Am I suppost drive out the roll pin and remove the line? My replacement has the line installed already. That means I would have to drice the roll pin out of the new part also? I think I am missing something.

    Here is a pic

It's been a LONG time since I replaced a slave in a 3.8, but I could swear I never had to remove the fitting. However, looking at that picture, I don't see any other way.

You have to remove the four bellhousing to trans bolts (per shop manual method) and then pull the bellhouse with the slave cylinder. Once you have them off the inputshaft, remove the two small bolts holding the slave. When reinstalling it's best to torque those two small bolts last. HTH
