    i know that the 480 takes alot more power and is a direct bolt up but does anyone know if i have to change my pcm around. any help would be great and if it is a just bolt on and go thatd be awsome cause then it would be a 5speed auto tooo :banana:

    It is a direct bolt up for a LS1, and then they need to be tuned for the swap. It doesn't bolt up the the 3800.

      my tranny has the bellhousing that can be taken off...so could you just swap bellhousings?

        The 4L80E is a one piece case. The bell housing does not unbolt on them.

          And it wouldn't be a "5 speed auto" either. The 4L80 is a 4 speed.
