  • T/A cover stud kit installed

I just got finished installing the stud kit and the T/A cover, pretty staight forward. The only downfall I can see is it leaking just a bit at the bottom just close to a drip. Everything was TQ to spec so I don't know. I think it might be the lower bolts. Anyone else have any problems like this or any solutions? I'll drive it a few times and see if it leaks any.

I used some Ultra Black HI temp RTV with mine, and mine don't leak at all.

The gasket that comes with the T/A cover is kinda hard, a thin layer of silicone on both sides wouldn't be a bad idea.

I have the same cover. Need to use TWO factory gaskets. They are sold in pairs for a reason. Worked great.

I guess it was just left over fluid from filling, today no leaks. I used a fel pro gasket, I didn't like the gasket that came with the kit. Also I have never had to use any gasket RTV sealer on the cover, as long as you don't over TQ the bolts and TQ the bolts down correctly and clean the surface it shouldn't leak. This is with 175,000 miles on it. Thanks for the replys, I'll let you know if it does start to leak.lol
