question about limited slip additives

what happens if you put in too much limited slip additive? I think i have an eaton posi ( I ordered it off ebay, and from the pictures i see on EATON's website it looks like the mechanical locking diff). Before I swaped in the disk brakes it would do 2 tire fires. but now it only does one. and I didnt touch the carrier, the only thing i did different this time is that i added almost 2 bottles of limited slip additive would that affect it?

can anyone tell me what is wrong with it? when i turn the wheel by hand i see the other wheel spinning in the opposite direction, but when it locks the driveshaft starts spinning but the other wheel doesnt. WTF is wrong.

That happened to me. I did 2 wheel burnouts, then I drove on a donut for entirely to long on highway to find a garage and then no more 2 wheel spins. I burnt something up and had to swap rearends. I'd guess you burnt something up also

I don't see the springs on that posi, so I'm doubtful that's an eaton posi

That is called a governor lock. One wheel has to star spinning before the other will kick in. They break very easy. They have clutches but are a pain in the butt to change. Driving with two different size tires on the back will kill any posi.

That is an Eaton Gov-lock like Brian said, they came stock in the 80's light trucks and vans. 4x4 guys complain about them breaking when used off-road and a lot of torque is applied. (guys with 2.8 S-10's who do 350 sbc swaps)
