OK. Did some searching, and all I found was questions on the differences, and then links to gearing ratios. Anyways, we have a 11sec 3rd gen with the T-5 in it. We're converting to an auto, and I'm not too sure what my dad plans on doing with the transmission. I think the T-5 in my car is dying, and I'm wondering if I'd be able to swap the two. I could change the bellhousings out, other than that, I think they should be the same transmission, no? The gearing might be different, but I figured if it can handle the power that car's putting out, it should handle my N/A V6 just fine (hoping to reach 275-300HP)

I'm almost positive that the input shaft on the 3rd gen is just a bit longer so it will not work.

you could put a spacer in there like you would a carb. but double check the spline count.

But that will move the whole housing back, and may cause alignment problems with the shifter and the cabin.
