Mine is going out. I get a shimmery noise when I let off the gas. Also when it's cold, my clutch pedal wont come all the way back up.

can you describe the "shimmery" noise?

i get a noise in gear that sounds like air escaping from an air compressor tank, and im wondering if that may be it.

Like sand falling into a tin pie plate. That metallic air tank sound might be close.
