  • Firmer Shifts from MAF?

I searched and couldn't find anything on this, but the LS1 cars, it seems that if you unplug the MAF it changes how the car shifts. My friend has done this and his car shifts A LOT harder, and I read on LS1tech about this.

Wondering if this works with our cars (mainly mine :) 94 3.4)? I have a Corvette servo that I'm also going to install.

It puts the PCM in " limp home " mode. Yes the trans shifts harder but the car also does not run as well.

      You plug it back in...

Does it still "limp home" if you unplug and plug it back in? I'm gonna say that this trick probably doesn't work on our cars. If it did people would be doing this and not the Corvette servo.

How long does it shift hard after you plug it back in?

His has shifted hard since the day he bought it. The previous owner unplugged the MAF when he put the ram air intake on it.
