A few weeks ago when I got the car back on the road after a long break due to a broken 3rd gear, I installed a pro 5.0 shifter and it keeps popping out of 5th I know its the shifter and not the trans cause for about a week I drove it with the stock shifter and no problems and after the install it pops out. anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Move the adjustment screws out. The loctite them so it doesn't move on you.

You really shouldn't need to use the stop screws on the shifter since the T5 has internal stops.

Very true. I removed mine after I got locked out of 2, 4, and reverse and had to skip shift home. Mine have been out probably 3+ years now. Leaving them in and making sure they won't move wouldn't hurt anything though.
