oh mine took like a good 30-45 minute because all the bolts were rusted to crap and the top bolt was a MAJOR pain and is what took the majority of the time because i could berily squeez my hand in there

              Re: driveshaft question?

you unbolt the four bolts on the yoke at the differential, if you have a 2 piece unbolt the bearing in the middle, drop the driveshaft down and pull it out of the transmission, installation is reverse of removal

yes it is the same from 82 up, but aluminum was only in the 98+ v8 models i believe

                    Re: driveshaft question?

There were optional aluminum driveshafts in earlier years as well.

If you've got only the rear of the car jacked up pretty high you might not lose any fluid at all, I still had a little dribble come out of mine though. If you use a lift I can guarantee you will lose at least a quart if not 2. The T-5 calls for 6 pints which is 3 quarts.

Did you think about putting the car in neutral and spinning the driveshaft around?

yeah, that bolt was a beyatch for me too. That bolt took longer than the rest of the entire install.
