Now i have the basic mods exaust, intake, ram-air,fliter. I have a 2000 auto and i was wondering about getting my next mod a GM 1LE Aluminum driveshaft. What do you guys and gals think i mean i dont want to lose horses with my 2 piece i have now. Its daily driven but like to take it and run it every 2 to 3 weeks. but just wondering thanks.

I could be wrong but i could've sworn the DS in a 00 is already aluminum, I know that its a one peice.

is there really that much of a gain with gettin a alum ds VS gettin a steel 1 pc? I know that the the alum doesnt weigh as much but is the differnce that much?

I think the one peice steel weighs 22 pounds and the the one peice alumnium weighs 11 pounds. the the carbon fiber weighs 5-6 pounds

the 10 pounds of rotating mass will probably take a tenth of a sec off your quarter mile.

I keep hearing about this carbon fiber driveshaft. But does anyone know where we can get one for a 98-02 F-bodys? If not does anyone know where I can buy the aluminum ones? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Very expensive. Unless you're rich you could get a lot more bang for the buck elsewhere.
