How long have the "rear ends" been the same?

Or better yet, what year to what year would fit on my 96 firebird? I was told that the rear ends have been the same since like 82 or something. is this true.. oh and i don't have traction control.

93-02. In 97 they went with slighly smaller hubs. 97+ wheels will be a tight fit on 93-96 rear ends. You just have to grind down the hubs a little bit.
