  • stall converter mod... good or bad?

ok fellas i am a little confused with this whole 4L60E automatic transmossion, i am trying to get it up to speed so i put the B&M shift improvment mod on but i want to get a stall converter. this is the one i found:
SLP Torque Converter, Lock Up 1993-97 Camaro/Firebird (2800)

now will this hurt my daily driving?, is it a good converter?, will i get good noticable results with it?, and will my transmission handle it?

thanks alot for your time fellas?

That one is for V8s. Get a PI or Yank.

ok i see i need to do a bit more resaerch on the things but i do have a couple more questions now that i have gone to the PI page, and they are:
what is the diffrence in lock up and nonlock up?
and is there anything i need to know as far as adverse effects that may come with using these things?

Hey LiquiDCooL, how'd you get a TCS shut off switch in your car? I thought V6 cars didn't get traction control until 2002.

"I thought V6 cars didn't get traction control until 2002."

It was an option on my 2000.

i have tcs on my 1999 -- its pretty easy to provide tcs control on 4 wheel antilock car with an electronic throttle body. when you detect wheelspin, reduce engine throttle until it goes away.
