• Trans-Go Stage 3 & 2800 Stall Torque Converter

ok guys. I'm getting my tranny replaced and i'm thinking of buying one with a trans-go stage 3 shift kit and a 2800 stall torque converter?

what do you guys think?
the torque converter sounds good (higher stall than stock) but i'm not too sure about the shift kit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need this info ASAP because I'm wanting to decide quickly because I want my car back from the shop already

since you're getting the tans rebuilt I think it would be a good idea. with that high stall, you'll chirp going into 2nd I do sometimes, and I dont have an after market stall converter. Good luck

a trans with a shift kit installed is a plus, 200 $ value at least, converter is at least 400 $ with 200 $ install , and a used trans is like 400 -500. anything under 1000 id say your getting a good deal..

those prices are conservative also

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
