  • would a shift kit help a slipping A4??

    I was looking at the 4L60e TransGo shift kit and was woundering if this would "cure" the slipping I have when Im and WOT.

    Thanks ahead for any info

    yes, it will. I have the same problem of the tc slipping in between shifts. the shift kit will reduce how long the tc spins in between shifts, putting more power to the ground over a longer period of time.

      well what happens with mine is when its at WOT it will start to slip in the 3-5 grand RPM range. it will be going fine at WOT but then at about 3 grand the RPM's jump up till it shifts into the next gear.

      also it only does this in 2nd and 3rd gear.

      would a shift kit help that problem?

        A shift kit would basically be a band-aid, it would only prolong the death of your transmission. Your best bet would be to save the money, and put it towards a good rebuild.

          yeah thats what i was thinking. I think im just going to save up the money and get a rebuild and have them put in a shift kit while there in it.

          one more question: how hard is it to but a shift kit on?
