• B&M Ripper Install Question

I ordered a B&M Ripper Shifter from Jegs and it will arrive tomorrow. :D
Got any tips for me?
How tough is the install?
Any special tools needed?

Thanks.

Make sure you have some gasket compound ready and make a good seal between the ripper and housing.

That shifter makes alot of difference. Enjoy.

Also dont forget to pick up a tube of white, silicon grease to lubricate the shifter and the tranny fork

Otherwise, get your tools and go for it ! :D

Its a simple process of unscrewing the knob, removing the console pieces (2) and then unbolting the outer shift boot and the shifter. I think I had mine installed in 30 minutes and its very straight forward.

Check install university for help getting everything removed - I didnt have to unclip my shiftboot either...

Also, put something strong behind the rear wheels to keep the car from rolling, you cannot have the E-brake engaged during the install.

Thanks for the tips.
I got the shifter in the mail yesterday but now it's sitting in my garage because it's about 20 degrees outside today.

Anyone have a heated garage I could borrow for an hour or two?
