• Shift Plus Shift Improver

Has any one herd or use Shift Plus Shift Improver by BM it says that it upgrades the performance of your electronic automatic transmission in minutes with ShiftPlus. ShiftPlus electronically improves the characteristics of your transmission and lets you change settings as you drive. It won't affect your factory warranty. Is this or does it really work

i asked about this too, they told me transgo is much better, and someone said that they heard more more bad stuff than good about it. but the price is pretty good compared to transgo, and looks alot easier to put in.

I like mine and it wasn't that hard to put in at all. I am going to be putting in transgo, but for the money they are good, and some people say that they are bad, and some say that they help, so who knows.

I have one, takes about 10 minutes to install. Yes you can tell a difference but nothing like a real shift kit, like a trangso. People say that it will wear out your tranny, but my car is running just as good as it did before I put the kit on which was over 3 months ago.

ya some guy here said he had it on his OLD tranny...hint, hint....and he said the way it works is by increasing the pressure, your tranny wont last much longer....go for a true shift kit or nothing, dont half *** it man.

Yea, since all it does is make the pump work harder than it was designed to do, it would wear out the tranny quicker than normal ( how much quicker I really dont know ). Basically its not worth the money IMHO because it wont do what a shift kit would and might actually hurt you in the long run.

TransGo kits are said to prolong the life of the transmission ( and they will firm the shifts MUCH more than the Shift+ ), so I would go with that if you want to firm up the shifts. They only run $115 and if you dont want to install it yourself, I have been quoted $150-200 for install.

The only time that the E. shift improver will actually hurt your car is if you leave it on either stage 1 or 2 for an extended period of time(couple of miles). If your just using it to quickly accelerate off the line then its fine. The trans can handle the pressure and heat that it creates, but like with everything else, their are limits. I installed mine after I got my new trans. and haven't had any problems with it. I've had it for over a year now without any problems. Just don't over use it and don't abuse it and you'll be fine. If you want to get firmer shifts then get the kit, its better and you don't run any kind of risk that some people say that they have had. Its fine but don't use it for extended periods of time.
