gears=abs_inop+brake lights

i recently installed 3.42 gears w/LSD by myself. and yes, a new reluctor ring went on as well [for abs purposes]. everything went extremely well except for these "brake" and "abs inop" lights in the dash. i searched around this forum, as well as others, and i checked all kinds of stuff. checked my fuses on abs unit, cleaned abs sensors, bled master cylinder and brakes, checked rear brake lights [heard that might have something to do with the abs light], checked brake fluid, etc. everythings cool.

now today i discovered that if i start my car with my foot on the brake, all the lights stay off. but as soon as i release the brake, both lights come on at the same time. this is freakin' me out. anybody have any suggestions?

i dont have a clue...the first set of gears i installed were some factory defects, they whined really bad and the first time i drove it the abs inop light was on then i turned the car off and the next time i went and drove it, it went off by itself...i dont know whats wrong

I had the exact same lights after my swap, and it was because I needed a new reluctor ring.

Supposedly there is a harness on top of the rear housing that will do the same thing if it's not hooked up.
