  • Broken Gears???

My 2000 Camaro has been making a strange rattling sound coming from the rear of the car. After owning the car for 2 1/2 months I decided to let the dealer look at it. Broken Gears in the Limited-slip differential. What causes this? Car was never raced and it is an automatic! The car will be in the dealer till next Tuesday waiting for parts. I get to pedal around in a Neaon 4-banger til then.

I could see a high HP car braking it but not a stock V6. That part was a lemon the second it came out of the factory where it was made. You did nothing. Some times parts just are bad. Make sure you don't pay a dime to have it replaced.

        Building the Tom Henry RS
Part 4: Suspension Mods, Tires, Wheels, Headers and other Cool Stuff.
        By: Hib Halverson

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
