What I have heard is that the electrical shift kit causes the pump in the tranny to wearout really fast. So my question is, just how hard is the "real" shift kit on the tranny? Does it increase line pressure?
Also on a side note my jet chip stage 2 has been acting up, and it sometimes makes my tranny shift extreemly hard 1st-2nd, and when you put it in gear. I'm assuming that it is calling for max pump pressure from the tranny, but why and why did it develope this shift kit after a period of 2 years, it just started doing it, recently? Any help appreciated.

I've read that whether you chose electrical or mechanical shift kits, they both work by increasing line pressure. I'd like to have a corvette servo, but read that you shouldn't do anything else to increase tranny line pressure if you have a Jet Stage II. Hope this helps.

I removed the jet stage 2 from my car, when it started acting up. How can both types of shift kits do the same thing? Why buy an actual if an electronic will do?
