  • Compatability.

    I have been saving up to get a Posi in my 99 v6, but every junk yard I go to I only fond 3rd gen f-bodies that have Posi. dose any one know if they are compatible?

    Yes, but you'll have to switch your brakes onto them.

        Do not go with a 3rd gen posi unit. They ARE different in ways. Theres also different units for what size gears ur using, stock, i guess you could get away with it, but if you went with 3.43 or something higher u would have to get a level 3 posi.

          As long as you get the correct series (2 or 3) to match your existing gears, the differential should fit your rear just fine. I would be concerned with use and abuse from an older car though.
