My drive shaft (bearing ?) is no longer good. But i cant find the replacement. No one seems to have it, and directly from GM they will only sell the whole assembly including the driveshaft which costs a pretty penny. Anyone know where i could find this part?? Junk yard is not an option since i called around pretty much every oen that i know and no one has it.
Thanks in advance.

Driveshaft bearing? Do you mean the universal joint? If that's what you're looking for, then they are available from a dealership parts department. You can usually find them at most parts stores as well. I got my last one from NAPA.

do you have a 2 piece driveshaft and you mean the center bearing? If so convert to a 1 piece they are cheap and an upgrade.
If you are talking about U-joints look up a "driveline" type shop, to take it to they will put in new u-joints, for relatively cheap.

Absolutely. Replace that 2-piece with a 1-piece. Pretty much any 3rd or 4th Gen shaft will work. (82-02) Steel for cheap ($25) or aluminum for better performance ($100)
i have the 2 piece drive shaft and i was talking about the bearing that holds it in the center.
anyways i"ll probably be getting a one piece since no one will sell that part in canada except GM, and they wont sell it without the shaft.
Anyone got a spare 1 piece ?? ;)

go on any of the v8 boards, you should be able to pick up a 1 piece steel very easily... even in canada.
