2 series to 3 series carriers- is the ABS Ring the same?

Well, I called a Chevy dealer and had them look it up. They had different part numbers for 2 & 3 series. I looked it up at http://www.gm-car-parts.com/ though and they only show a different part number for with and without LSD (listed as "speed sensor ring" but check the illustration- same thing). I find that unusual though, because when I installed a LSD on my V6 bird, I used the same ring on the new carrier. Will call another dealer today and see what I can find out. Has anyone upgraded from a 2 series to 3 series and used the SAME ring?

I just put in my 3.42s today and going to the three series carier I did have to use a thicker ABS reluctor ring. Good luck with the install.
