Hi,
The other day we put my Camaro up on the lift, and replaced the clutch, pressure plate, & throwout bearing (or what you would like to call it). My clutch was weaking and nearing 100k, it should be done anyway. The old clutch, when I would push in the pedal, I would have to push in all the way to the floor or it might grind, so when we put the new one in, I got in, pushed down the petal and nothing! no pressure at all. Loaded it on the roll back and took it back to my home.
It was decided that is was probably the Master & Slave cyclinders, so I bought the master, and replaced it, helped very little, and then replaced the slave cyl., at this point I still have no pressure. It seems as it is not pushing in far enough, if I pump the clutch up, while my dad helps it underneath the car, it gets tight, and I am able to start it up and shift into gears, otherwise I can't get in any gears. When I let off the petal after he does this, right before it is all the way out, this is a 'swoosh' a suction sound. We have been trying to get all the air out of the line, (manualing squeezing the slave in, and watching for any bubles in the resovior. Little sucesss.
As far as my knowledge goes I have found no bleeder on it. Does anyone know what the problem maybe and hopefully how to fix it so I can drive my baby again?
thanks a lot!
